(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Alright well I have a pretty common problem which no one can really answer.

I am using Sony Vegas 9 Pro and can do everything fine and dandy except for one thing: the video will not preview. The audio will easily but the video preview-er only shows a black screen.

Now I have been told that its because the clips I recorded are in MP4 format and thats the problem. Well, prior to say a month or two ago, the video feed was fine and there was no problems. And as of now, formats such as .wmv also do not show up.

So can anyone help me?

Have you installed any codecs? I had this problem on one of my friends AVI videos...the video played fine on Divx and MMP but if I tried ti convert it to any other format..Vegas would lag or it wouldn't show the video. But I think he had a bad file cause he said everyone hes knows had the same problem on Vegas

Now it being a MP4 format you need a codec for it to read the file..I had to install it to read my phone videos...worked fine Smile...but you say now it wont read wmv? Now that shouldn't be a problem...all I got to say is reinstall and see if that fixes it if not see if a codec was damaged.
