Not always true, could be other things causing it, that is usually the reason and fix, but.... Can't just say that every time.

Yea I don't know who told you that but they were wrong.(Sounds like someone from geeksquad, they are terrible) It can be a number of things from bad drivers to dead hardware. The bluescreen itself does give some information as to the general problem, but unless you are able to get back into windows you wont be able to retrieve the dump file and reinstalling windows could fix the problem, but if it was driver related then you just wasted your time.

Well for your case it could have been corrupt OS files that are needed. Those get corrupted by not properly shutting down your pc or power ottages etc. So yes in some cases you might have to do that, but I would never make that the first solution to a blue screen

Could have been a faulty driver or even invalid memory like I said it really could be anything you could think of. Blue screens sometimes are pretty general

I generally only get one if my Video card overheats, but that hasn't happened in about 7 months. uh skip a bluescreen? Care to go a little more in depth with that?

Dude you need to specify. It can really be anything! It can be your hard drive, etc.

Usually what fixes the blue screen of death is to format your computer, or restore...

So if you don't know what the problem is exactly, just format it, call the manufacturer if you don't want to look online for tutorials.
