I know this is the wrongs section for this, but there is not right section for this soo.

Also this is prolly a simple answer I just can't find it.

I downloaded a file more then 1 GB on my computer ( windows XP ), When the download poped up and there were 3 options 1. run 2. save 3. cancel. Out of those 3 I hit run and I downloaded the file, but I forgot to install it. then I turned off my computer. I am just turned it on but I can find the file, wher did the file go.

It will be in you're downloads Folder.

OR

if you're on Firefox or chrome, go onto the Settings, Then click downloads

remember I did not save it I hit run, would it still be in a download folder, because I dont see it. also I was using windows explorer

Maybe you could look in Recent Places if you have that on your XP pc.

I'm sure Windows Explorer has a Download bit on it ( i don't use it myself but im sure it does have it )

Its not going to be in a folder if you hit run. After a certain amount of time, the files that are not saved will be deleted. Those are called "Temp" folders.

simple answer re-download it but just save it. advice always save then run it. unless its porn you might not wana save that.
