(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I needed to run Virtual Machine for Windows XP so that I could use some programs that were incompatible with Windows 7. At first this seems as if it would be complicated, So many things to download for it to say "Nah need more expensive version of Win7!". But I've figured away around this. With this method you won't need to use a HAV Enabled machine either.

Advantages:
Dazzle DVC 170 and DVC 130 on a 64 Bit Machine.
Other Incomparable programs work.

Requirements:
Win7 Computer running any version of Win7
XP Disc/ISO (Have a previous disc or obtain one illegally, I ain't linking you though)

Step 1.
Obtain you XP Disc or ISO and keep it handy next to you.
It should be around 600MB.

Step 2.
Got to You must login or register to view this content. And download the appropriate file for your system. Install and restart.

Step 3.
Mount or insert your Windows XP ISO/Disk and run your Virtual Machine.
You may get an Incompatibility error, Just ignore it
Go to File>New Virtual Machine. Follow the wizard setup.
It will ask you to partition some of you HDD to use for Windows XP, Just allow it a small amount, 40gig-100gig. It should only need about a 100MB to A Gig of ram.(This does not removed the RAM from your computer it's just lets the machine use a gig while it is running, when it is not then your computer can use this ram normally)

Step 4.
On the Virtual PC Console run the Virtual Machine you just created. Got to CD and "Use Physical Drive X" X being the drive that you are using to hold the XP Disc/ Mounted ISO. Follow the onscreen instructions until it asks you to "Press ENTER to boot from CD" Hit enter.
It then starts the process of copying the Files from the disc to make the Virtual Machine, after this is finished you will get the "Installing Windows" screen, this will take some time.

After this 30 Min to Hourly install you should have Windows XP working on you Windows 7 Home Premium computer.

Just run the virtual machine from the Virtual Console and it should boot like real windows XP.

I will update this tut at a later date if it is a bit vague or in need of pictures.

You could use free software such as VirtualBox aswell, which I find better due to the range of operating systems you can use.
