NOTES:
These are the native Mac Ports of the Half-Life game series done by Valve, ripped from the Steam resource files "hacked" and wrapped into a nice standalone Application bundle for your convenience.
Included are the original Half-Life 2, it's expansions Episode One and Episode Two as well as the Puzzle game Portal.
All chapters have been unlocked. Wink
You need to follow two simple rules if you want these games to function flawlessly:
1. Don't rename the Half-Life 2.app
2. Leave all apps inside the same folder - don't copy them to different locations.
If you stick to these rules you can enjoy the games from any location on your harddrive without needing to boot up/log into Steam - have fun!
KNOWN ISSUES:
Performance is SLOWER compared to the unofficial Cider ports that have been released earlier if you're still using 10.5.x. Audio can be choppy sometimes - try disabling Anialiasing and VSYNC if this should happen.
There are various other reported issues mostly from 10.5 users such as scripted events not being triggered properly or oversaturated water/breencast graphics. 10.6 is recommended for best exprience of these games.
Oh yea, and achievements do not work because this is a Steam rip. Razz

2. Rome Total War - Gold Edition (Mac)

Rome Total War - Gold Edition (Mac) l 2.48GBRome Total War is a PC game created by the Creative Assembly. It is a strategy game simulating ancient warfare and empire-building in the period of Rome's rise to greatness, beginning in 270 B.C.E and running to the year 16 C.E. It features both turn-based play at the strategic level of the game, and real-time-strategy play when battles are fought out at the tactical level.
Rome Total War offers several options of play, in both single and multiplayer modes. In Singleplayer a person can play a Custom Battle in which they select the Faction and units they wish to command, as well as those the computer will use against them. A Quick Battle is simple, but skips the selection and jumps straight into a random battle. Historical Battles allow the player to re-fight some of those great battles of history, such as the Battle of Lake Trasimene, or The Battle of Carrhae, and more. Finally, they may play a Campaign, leading a single nation to conquer the ancient world. In Multiplayer a person can play in battles either online or through a local network.
Tested On (Absolute minimum system requirements):

Apple Macintosh with Intel CPU

Tested and works great on:

2.66 GHz Intel Core i7
8 GB RAM
512mb NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
Known Issues:
- The sea has false colour - this may be alright on Pros, I'm not sure.
- The loading picture flashes up then disappears
- When you put it in full-screen the map screen may have no mouse boundary probs, and maybe even the next battle you play, but when you come back to the map screen, the mouse borders will be buggered. To solve this, quit, go to: Contents\Resources\transgaming\c_drive\Program Files\Data\preferences.txt and change:
STRATEGY_RESOLUTION and BATTLE_RESOLUTION both back to 1024x768
The widescreen problem may only affect a few. Not sure if it's just because of my prefs going wrong somewhere. You may as well try it.
Acknowledgements:
Couple of fixes courtesy of DAGOwatt. These include the sea fix (may work on Pros, I don't know) and the mouse cursor having extreme tails in menu fix.
