Post: does my PC support HDCP?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i want to take up recording PS3 gameplay, but i have read that if i want to use HDMI my PC needs to support HDCP so how do i check.

my PC is a

Acer Aspire X3400
manufactured: 28/10/2010

it does have a HDMI OUTPUT. but i just want to make sure it supports HDCP before i buy a HD DVR capture card....


i want to get a AverMedia HD DVR. its were you plug into your computer (PCI-e slot) and then connect to PS3 via HDMI....

Pretty sure the PVR connects through a USB so yes, you should be good to go. Smile

it a DVR like a black magic.

Oops. My bad. I read it wrong.

Why not just get a PVR though?

Composite decreases the quality and is not as good as HDMI, and i also have all slots full except HDMI.
