Now that Lion has introduced Full-Screen support for selective apps you’re probably wondering if there’s any way to enable the Full-Screen mode system wide, the good news is that thanks to chpwn, a popular iOS Cydia developer, that’s now possible (obviously this is only for Lion users)!

All you have to do is download Maximizer You must login or register to view this content. and SIMBL You must login or register to view this content. (to implement it) and follow these steps (copied from chpwn’s site)

To use Maximizer, you have to install SIMBL and then put Mazimizer.bundle inside ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins (or in the same folder in /, if you want it globally available). I probably can’t help you get this installed; maybe read the SIMBL documentation if you get confused?
Note: Maximizer is currently in beta, and likely has compatibility issues with many applications. Some apps that work in full-screen perfectly without Maximizer might break with it, and some might not work at all. If you do have issues with Maximizer, I’d appreciate an email with the last few hundred lines from the Console app (find it with Spotlight) to help me debug the issue.
(Hopefully soon, I’ll be able to move Maximizer over to CydiaSubstrate, which will fix a number of issues. I’m not sure what the status is of CydiaSubstrate on the Mac (and Lion), but once it is available I’ll update Maximizer to use it.)
