(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Well heres an amazing alternative to Fraps and Camtasia and what not.
It's called MSi Afterburner and it works like a charm.
This is the UI.

You must login or register to view this content.
It basically Overclocks your Graphics card extremely easily and in the settings you can look about, there will be a video capture tab. Take a brief look at it and change settings as you need.
Default is F8 to start/stop recording.
No edge lines come up but it will record the window selected so it's easy Happy
They will be out put to a folder in your Videos called Captured.

I recorded with fraps, got some slight fps loss, but then with this I couldn't even tell I was recording, I saw literally No FPS Loss!

You can download it here You must login or register to view this content.nd if you feel its neccessary heres a User Manual :P

Open up Afterburner,
Click settings,
Head over to the Video Capture Tab,
Check the settings, e.g. Record button is F8
Start desired program,
Press F8,
do whatever,
Press F8 again to stop recording,
Go to your Videos folder and then into a folder named Captured,
then there will be the recording/recordings.

It's really quite simple

As you said you've been using it for a while you may have an older version?
Try downloading the latest version.
If no luck then I don't have a ****ing clue what's wrong.
