Post: US Residents Rayovac Batteries
08-19-2011, 07:28 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This is my personal experience with Rayovac batteries, I have yet to try other battery suppliers but I had quick, easy, painless results with Rayovac. The email is an exact copy and paste from my inbox minus me removing my personal information for obvious reasons. The only thing I had to do was get a code located at the positive end of a battery, this can be done at any place that sells batteries, it's like 4-6 character code. I don't know what the code is, or why it varies in length, but that is of minor importance when they mailed me my check Smile

Thank you for contacting the Rayovac Consumer Service department and for providing us with the four character code. You will be receiving a refund for the defective Rayovac “AA” batteries in 10-15 business days via the USPS.

Thank you,

Rayovac Consumer Service

Thank you for your quick response. The numbers I see on the positive terminal, in the grey portion are : MGDF2.

I hope those are the numbers you are looking for. I tried to return them to Walmart, but they said I had to contact

the manufacturer, I hope we can meet some sort of resolution on this as batteries, especially 15 AA's are not cheap.

Thanks again for your interest in this matter. I would have to say, thus far the customer support Rayovac offers has

been of great quality.

Thanks,

XX.

Thank you for your message. We are sorry to hear about the recent
unpleasant experience you had with our batteries. We would like to let
our quality department know about your experience so we have passed on
the information you provided us. Can you kindly provide us with the four
character code located in the grey portion of the positive end of the
battery? This is a dot matrix print and usually is a combination of
letter or letters and numbers.

Thank you,
Rayovac Consumer Service

Comments: I purchased a AA 15 pack that was advertised as having "5 More
Batteries", it sounded like a good deal, unfortunately it was not. I got
the batteries home and tried them out in a new T.V. Remote I had
purchased the same day, only to find out the batteries did not work. I
then tried them out in a portable cd player, and an Xbox Wireless
Controller, they did not work in any device I owned. I went back to
Walmart and purchased Duracell brand AA batteries and voila, they worked
the first time with no issues. I took the batteries to a friends house
to try them there as a last measure, again, they failed to work, but the
Duracell worked without error. I have used Rayovac for years, and I
enjoy the products, but I have to say that I am disappointed as I was
hosting a Pay-Per-View Event that evening and was extremely embarrassed
as I could not order the event without the remote. The only numbers I
see on the battery pack is 815-12B3 AA 1.5V, I assume that is a lot
number of some sort. Any resolution would be greatly appreciated, thanks
for your time.

I just used this link to contact them : You must login or register to view this content.

If you don't trust links, just google Rayovac, click their link, then click Consumer Services and then Contact Us. Simple and clean, the way I like it.
