Well it depends, you can run windows games (that are usually pirated) that have been ported. You can run a VM to play it (will most likely not play most games, but some will work) or you can use bootcamp (best way to run it, but you have to create a new partition and restart to switch OS's)

Search for a windows iso in google, if you have Lion, you must use Windows 7, if you haven't upgraded yet, you can still use XP, which is easier to find.
Parallels works best for me, and has a 14 day trial to make sure it works before buying, haven't had any luck finding it free.

Check out playonmac as an alternative, but I would recommend installing windows through parallels or VMware and you can run any windows program from your Finder

I use parallels desktop 6.
Works like a charm.
Especially in coherence mode.

I use VMWare fusion for a virtual windows desktop, but you'd be better using BootCamp to boot up in windows properly and run games from there. So the answer is no, unfortunately 90% of games need a windows install.

there are a couple ways of doing this.
1. You could simply convert the install.exe to a mac application. You can read my thread You must login or register to view this content.
2. You could just install windows on your mac (dual boot) If you read my other thread you can do this. You must login or register to view this content.
