Well I didnt get any help in the linux section so...
Well.. after a few DAYS of researching, and trying to fix this problem, I've decided to leave it to you guys. Ubuntu (from wubi) would not install when i had my GTX 550 ti in. So I removed it, used the on board GPU, and it installed perfectly, even without the drivers. So then I plug my GPU back in, and switch to that, but when i try to boot Ubuntu, I just get a large purple square on my screen. The GTX 550 ti works perfectly on windows 7. When i went on Ubuntu with my on board graphics to install the Linux drivers for my GTX 550 ti, it tells me that the device is not plugged in (obviously, because if it where, Ubuntu wouldn't boot). So that concludes that i cannot install the drivers first, then the GPU second. Is this a known problem? Should I change something in my BIOS? I have already restored default settings in my BIOS.
