But where I messed up was I deleted the system partition containing drivers. Now, most things work, but this is going to be a problem if I ever restore my pc again. I AM currently on windows xp, and had to install TONS of drivers just to get the ETHERNET working. And now finally I got the wifi driver. But my vga output ect is still missing and im not going to run around the internet for hours obtaining all these drivers which will go as soon as I decide to restore again. SO, I was wondering if anyone had the actual Dell Latitude D520 restore disk and could make an iso image of it. And if not that if someone knew of another way to do this. Worst comes to worst, I just go ahead and buy the disks. But unfortunately I dont have the money right now, and wanted to come to the NGU community first. If anyone could help me out PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thank you so much in advance.

Hate to break it to you, but there's a 99% chance that nobody has that restore disk. Probably your only option at this point is to find the drivers. Maybe list the components that need their drivers so that we can help you find them quicker. How much are the restore disks you seem to be talking about?

they are about $30 and yes I know that most likely noone has them but I thought I would try before I start saving some money. Im only 14 so I have no income, and my mom is not going to give me the money because she recently bought me a new iPod touch which was about 250. So I'm not even going to try. And I already have installed all the neccesary drivers, BUT if I ever need to restore again, I will have to install them by my self again-.- Which kind of sucks. I wish that bios had the drivers integrated so you could just load them to a partition, but NOPE. Its fine though, I will buy the disks within the few weeks.

Tried everything nothing was plug and play. So because my internet (ethernet&wireless) drivers were not installed I had to go to the dell website and download like 5 files to install. I got everything installed, everything is recognized now but unfortunately this wont be the case if I ever have to restore again.

Well, good luck. I'm 15, but thankfully I have a cheap-as-shit paper route, so I get a little bit of money. But hey, any money is good money :p

Download them all, burn them to a CD so you can have them at all time without needing to redownload. This is your only option at this point unless you want to buy the disk.
