(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I learned today that theres a lot of stuff worth money in the computer such as gold and silver. If I were to scrap every bit of gold, silver, copper, etc what is a good estimate of what I would make? I have a computer at home with the screen also. Then I plan on buying a broken computer off Ebay worth $1.00 and scrapping that for all the metal. I know this question maybe hard to answer and may come of a bit odd, but im 13 and im really trying to find a really good way to make money so I can afford to get into the programming acadamy in my city and I hear scrapping the metals out of a computer can actually get you some money.

Worth the Weight
Not more than what the parts are worth. Honestly the profit isn't going to be really high compared to getting a summer job or something, but it's alright I guess.

It can get you money if you buy the computers for $1.00 but usually only high quality parts have more gold etc. And those aren't cheap. If you buy broken computers for a few bucks like you said in your initial post, then take out the gold and silver you might muster up some cash, but it's not going to pay for a programming academy without some investments.

Thanks for your reply.....I have over $600 at the moment from my last birthday, so I was planning on using that too.....It turns it the computer for $1.00 was a bit more than I expected. It turns it the guy was really far and it was $70 for shipping, so im not going to be doing that. :(

RIP PICHU.
Simply get yourself a job, mow lawns or something and get about 5-10 bucks and hour.

Well in order to scrap it you would have to break down the components to their actual metals. Its not a cheap / easy / safe process either. It deals with alot of chemicals
