Post: Request: 50k vbux reward.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); right heres my request:

i'm in need of a laptop for sixth form next year, the things i require are:
Light Gaming (probably 6gb+ ram and a fairly decent graphics card)
a half decent processor (faster gaming and helping to run multiple programs..)
A DECENT BATTERY LIFE (don't want to constantly take my charger to and from school)
under £500 (if possible below £450)
also, i need to be able to by it somewhere in England (pcworld, comet etc)

if you have any other questions please let me know..
most laptops come with at least windows 7 so the OS isn't an issue,
webcam etc isn't a must, sound quality not a major factor and the size of the hard drive also doesn't matter (1tb hard drive).

so if anyone helps i'll offer all my vbux to the person who finds the best laptop ^^.
ideally it should be able to play games such as WoW and SC2 with a good FPS on low settings.

Sorry, but your not going to find anything worth while for what you're looking for at that price range. I looked around a little and a 2.2GHz CPU is the best you can get and that isn't good enough for games. Trust me I know because I use to have a desktop with 6GB of RAM and a 2.2GHz CPU, along with a decent graphics card. Even if the games were on the lowest settings and some things turned off, it wasn't good enough. CPU kept spiking too high.

Your not going to get 6GB of RAM and a decent GPU for under £500. Your best shot is something refurbished:

I doubt this laptop will play games very well.

I urge you to look at AMD APU's since this is really your only hope to play games well. Something such as:

This would most likely be better for gaming than the above laptop.

If you can dish about the extra cash this is probably the best bet without going way over target:

Frostbite 2
I am Frostbite.
If you are planning on getting a new computer, wait until windows 8 comes out.

Not sure how I didn't see that. Keep in mind the CPU isn't the best but it's still a good one, and the battery life is "up to 5 hours"

But yes, it's still a great laptop with the GPU.

However this would be my go to laptop if you ask me since it technically has 2 GPU's. Although the CPU is AMD, it is quad core and it does have better battery life.
