(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello Everyone. Haven't been on in awhile, been busy. I see Needa got admin, congratz. But to the topic at hand:

MY POS COMPUTER NEEDS A NEWER OS!

Sucks, Ive been a console gamer for years. Moved to PC quite recently, i play a little less on PSN than I used to. Joined a Halo CE clan, and well- i need Halo 2, as well as a better Operating System. Now, I have never needed to change an OS before. I HAVE had to restore my computer from a destructive restore the hard way (i.e. Make a recovery console disc with windows XP Sp 2 on it and manually uncompress "NTLDR", then run XP system install. Yes, i don't have my original machines recovery disc, and i assume i will need to upgrade to vista in a similar fashion.)

If you are still reading this, i assume you are decent with the computers and the whatnot :p (or your just bored)
I have googled this and well i guess my detective skills aren't what they used to be. I NEED YOUR HELP. I'm not even sure exactly what i need to do- i can probably scrape up some Windows Vista download/install but do i need help as what to do once i acquire said OS. Will i need to do it in a similar fashion as the system restore? I just need assistance please. Magg i heard your good with the computers and what not. If you ever decide you want to be active in the forums, NOW IS THE TIME MAN!

Im going to post all the details of my shitty computer so in case you need so background info

Actually you can. the minimum req for 32 is a p3 1ghz 1 gig ram with at least 20gig free hd space.

I have a copy of win7 with a loader I got off of piratebay, might still be there. If you know of a upload site I could sent it to ya.

I'm not sure why you want to upgrade to Windows Vista or 7.

Halo 2 runs fine on Windows XP. Here are the requirements: (Minimum and Recommended)

Look at the ones in Black, not the ones in blue.

But if you insist, I would skip Vista. Windows 7 technically needs less resources than Vista, so if you think your PC can run Vista, it can run 7 no problem.

Just torrent it honestly it's not that hard. Download uTorrent and download one from a trusted or VIP member with many seeders. I could send you links but other than that I cannot help you. (My Internet is slowish and it will take forever to download and then re-upload it to a file sharing site) So use your favourite torrent website.

Actually Its almost Impossible To Run Halo 2 Vista on XP, unless you happen to come across one of the VERY rare patches that port it to an XP PC. Then, to even play online, you have to go in the mf.dll file and manually find in thousands of lines in there, where the hell the product key is, and change it from 0000-0000-0000-00000 to a valid product key. Then you got to edit a file to make network and Live not greyed out, and THEN you have to activate it using a Halo tool; and even then you could only really play on cracked server (because online is through Live, and you'd need to have Windows Games t use it, so it will know what your PC can and "cant" run) and since its not likely cause many people hate fucking vista, and dont find Halo 2 "worth it" your chances of finding a server that is cacked is not likely. Thats even if you have enough the 1GB of free RAM to run it, as most old desktop PC's back from XP were not built for gaming, so they generally have 2 - 4 GB of RAM (Which having an OS would take up RAM). So yes it is possible, but not so that you can just plug in a CD and set it up. Belive me, ive done the research and this is just not worth the trojan's or the time.

Windows did it on purpose too. If they set it up so, they could very well play on XP. Windows wanted it as a Vista only in hopes of boosting sales because they know Vista was shit, people thought so, and that it wasn't going to sell very well. Look up Mojave Campaign, its the fakest shit ever, and it says a lot abut WHY they need to do it too.
