Your USB port could be damaged as well. Take a little light and look at the pins. Are any of them bent? Missing? Out of place?
Pins in the hub or the connector that goes to the motherboard?
I'm gonna try and use another SATA cable, and hook it back up. Let's see how this goes.
EDIT: I've connected the HDD again, and as of now everything works perfect. I have my external HDD connected through USB 3.0 and also that seem to be working so far. I will let it stay on for a little, and see if anything changes.
