Post: Corrupt hardrive help!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I recently accidently formated my external hardrive and lost all my important data(data from my previous 2 computers).I used various software data recovery programs but on my first attempt to recover the data with Stellar Phoenix NTFS Data Recovery I chose to save the data that was being recovered over the drive I formated. Now it managed to recover ALL of the data and all my folders are in the proper order BUT when I try to open 90% of the files they are "corrupt" and I'm unable to open them. The 10% of files I can access are out of order.

So if I play a simpson episode I recovered it will open a different video on that hardrive.
So for example if I play a tree house of horror episode it might open a Saturday Night Live sketch I had in a different folder but under the simpsons tree house of horror title. So all my files are ether corrupt or complelty out of order.
I tried to recover it again with different programs and its the same problem. How can I fix this?T

o be clear it recovers ALL my files in the proper order i them in(in the right folders)but i just can play almost all of them and the ones i can play arn't what they suppost to be.Another example if I click a picture I recovered I might play a movie instead even thou its a picture file.Any help will be much appreciated

**only about 1-2% of my files are actually recovered where I can view them properly the rest is ether corrupt or opens the wrong thing

To be honest just delete all that shit you recovered and re-download it. A lesson to be learned from this would be the importance of regular system back up's I have a three 1TB Hard Drive Disks 1 of which is solely full of pirated films the second is full of torrents and most importantly backup's of my valuable files. For the love of God Back-Up shit you don't want to lose otherwise you'll regret it.
