I used to have a Toshiba laptop. I got blue screens occasionally, not the same day I opened lol, but it never really did any harm.

I did have the hard drive crash once and had to send it in to be replaced. I also had to completely start over from the factory CD once or twice. Plus, I had a lot of heating problems towards the end. I had that laptop for 4 years strong. :p

My grandpa has a Toshiba Satellite Laptop and it's pretty good from what I can tell. It's fast enough to get most things done and I've never had a blue screen (actually I've only gotten a blue screen like twice in my life and it was in the XP days). The build quality isn't too good, but it's an ok brand.

They have a lot of problems. I have had a few I don't like them. They can slow easily over a short time. The cpu is terrible. Speakers are bad on them. I recommend asus.

Toshiba should be as good as brand, my friend owns one and has never had any problems, maybe it will be a pc problem may come from the factory with the defect, and still under warranty? you may try to take him to graranzia not?

IMHO Toshiba is one of the best brands I've ever had...
