My motherboard seems to have 3 or 4 bent pins, very easy to spot from a distance.

Anyways my power will not power on and stay on, when I plug everything in it stays on for a second and then restarts then loops.

Unplugging the CPU power allows the components video card fans, psu fans, motherboard You must login or register to view this content. to all go on and stay on as long as I don't shut the power off.

Plugging the cpu power in makes the power on, then off, then endless loop.

Could the bent pins on my motherboard cause this issue?
Or is my CPU broken.

BTW i replaced the thermal paste of my CPU like here

My setup:

Intel Core I5-3570K
Gigabyte Z77-D3H
16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz RAM
128GB Intel 520 Series SSD
750Watt PSU

It would be very helpful if you could post a picture of the bent pins because depending on what they are they could be the problem.

Make sure you didn't get any of the thermal paste on the CPU pins. Also, make sure when you are putting in the CPU you dont use any force. If you have to use force, check the pins. Try to un-bend them CAREFULLY if not, then you need a new cpu.

Test the motherboard with another CPU also, make sure its compatable though.

Take out your CPU asap and check the bottom of it for any damage. I have no idea why you would try to put a CPU into a motherboard with bent pins. You should have RMA'd the board the second you got it if the pins were bent. Forcing the CPU in could cause the Motherboard manufacturer to deny your request for an RMA and you can also have killed your CPU in the process.

There is nothing wrong with the specs and setup, everything is compatible.
