(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); My problem is the following:
I was playing The Sims 3 with my ATI 4890, and they work like shit, and also on my Dell Monitor of 27" some yellow, violet and green lines appeared for some minutes, so I decided to change the Video Card.
Yesterday, I bought an ATI 7770, The Sims 3 runs a little bit better, but shit anyways get stuck and everything. And the lines continue to appear for almost the same time, in the same place.

My PC Specs are:
Intel i7 920 @ 2.67
ATI HD 7770 1GB DDR5
8 GB RAM DDR3
Gigabyte Technology EX58-UD3R Motherboard
2 1TB HDD WesternDigital Caviar Black
Power Supply Thermaltake 750w Toughpower

Now the problem is of the video card? the monitor? or in the rest of the pc?

*Note*: Yesterday I turn off the PC, went to sleep and when I woke up was everything turned off but the Video Card and Intel vents working, and had to turn off the Power Source, may that fucked up the new video card? I doubt it because the Far Cry 3 works in Very High settings just fine.

*Note*: The Sims 3 are from Pereman V4 Repack, I wanted to test them all before buying them original.

im thinking 4 things either driver not installed correctly monitor starting to act up or game parts corrupted try reinstalling the driver and game first if that doe's int work try a new monitor if all fails could be low power supply or motherboard problem.

Sorry Diddint see your note well than it looks like it could be ur power supply if its still powering the components of Ur pc when it turned off

Those strange lines appear outside the game, as soon as I turn on the PC and enter the Desktop.
I'm going to check drivers right now, but I believe they installed correctly.

Could i've fucked it up when turning off the power supply? I believe I didn't as I could improve the graphics in FC3 i passed from medium to very high and works fine.

Overall, my system is good?

Forgot to add: my power supply is of 750w.

oh so it could be driver or monitor. i dont think one time turning it off like that could cause problem so u where seeing these lines and colors on screen with ur old video card also or no. The power supply could be getting bad i cant say 100%. Otherwise Ur Computer is pretty good.

If you have another monitor to test we could see if thats the problem or powersupply

Yes, I usually use double monitor, even with the old card. The other monitor does not have any lines. Is a Samsung LED 23".
I'm more easy now that I know that I didn't fucked up the video card lol.

Check drivers, it could be your monitor, display cable
