(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok so this christmas I'm planning on buying a new PC..
I've thought about it a lot and still haven't made my mind up..

The choices are:
Alienware M15x laptop - £1200
Custom built Desktop - £1248
Macbook Pro 15" - £900
Sony Vaio FW - £800

Wadda you think and why? Happy

EDIT:
I ended up buying the Vaio...
I know it didn't have the most votes but It was reduced from £800 to £700 which allowed me to buy a HD PVR with the spare cash Smile.
Thanks for your advice anyway guys Happy

I'm going to be mostly video/image editing and using the web. I would also like it to be able to run top games like crysis at least on low settings. From what I've heard, the custom built and Alienware have a ridiculously good GFX card so that should be a problem on them but I wont be gaming all the time so I suppose I can compromise Smile

Do a barrel roll!
The new alienware laptops don't overheat. If you are playing games that are graphic intensive then the alienware laptop WASD keys will tend to be a little bit warm, but other than that they run smooth with the new i7. They use a lot of power though my m17x only has 1 hour and 40 minutes on high performance with only using itunes/browsing the internet/msn/maybe cs;s in there a bit. (zombie mod ofc) Happy

Def get the Macbook Pro, that will last you a long time. But if you decide to get a PC, get Ubuntu as the OS.
