1. Navigate to "
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads" and delete all of the files in that folder.
2. Open CMD as Admin and type "
wuauclt.exe /updatenow" - Do not hit enter just yet!
3. Hit the Windows button and type "
Windows Update" and open it
4. Click "
Check for updates" and while it's checking run the command you entered into CMD.
5. Your PC will begin downloading update files!

any chance you can help me out?
so i checked this morning and found Upgrade to Windows 10 Home: Failed in my update history. i then followed this guide and got the downloading windows 10 screen however after the download finished i got this again:
Upgrade to Windows 10 Home
Installation date: 29/07/2015 17:27
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 80240020
Update type: Important
Install the next version of Windows.

oh and i got the $Windows.~BT folder which i think is the windows 10 upgrade
