So after doing a little bit of research on windows 10 upgrade I came across something disturbing

The new Microsoft Windows 10 upgrade, It may seem free but there are some strings attached

They Are spying on you then selling your data.
    They monitor everything your doing.

Yes if you thought they were just giving it away you are wrong, They are accessing EVERY thing you do ,Searches , Programs ect.

Please look at the article so you can disable them from spying on you.

Here a quote from the contract that you signed when you upgraded

This is a quote from the article

"First, you’ll want to open Settings and click on Privacy. There, you’ll find 13 different screens — yes, 13 — to go through, and you’ll want to disable anything that seems worrying. The blog notes that most of the important settings can be found on the General tab, though other tabs are important as well. For example, you’ll definitely want to adjust what types of data each app on your system can access.

Next, users should consider dumping Cortana. Yes, the voice-driven assistant is easily one of the best new features in Windows 10, but it also plays fast and loose with your data. As a result, many users will find that the benefits do not outweigh the risks.

For the third task, you’ll have to venture outside the confines of your PC and hit the web. Perhaps this is a good opportunity to check out Microsoft’s nifty new Edge browser. In it, click on this link and set both “Personalised ads in this browser” and “Personalised ads wherever I use my Microsoft account” to off. This will disable Microsoft’s Google-style ad tracking features.

The last tip is one that most users will likely forgo, as it is a bit excessive. Rock Paper Shotgun recommends removing your Microsoft account from Windows 10 completely and using a newly made local account instead. This way, Microsoft doesn’t grab hold of all your data to sync it across machines. To us that’s a great and useful feature, but if you want to kill it just follow the link below in our source section for complete instructions and plenty more details"

Unless you've got something to hide, why worry about them accessing your content history? Sure some things might seem embarrassing (like porn), but Microsoft isn't really isolating your searches to directly spy on your personal habits. Rather, they're using this to collect trend information. Because everyone wants to be ahead of the trends. They've been doing this for years, it's not just with Windows 10.

yeah..... i doubt that's happening, its probably if you have done "suspicious" activities they can check your browser history n shit, so unless you're some dodgy fucker you're fine.

Also this is mostly used for stuff like Cortana and the app store to help recommend stuff you might be interested in. :p

I've studied quite a bit about Operating Systems in college and I can tell you this isn't true. This is just part of the license agreement that allows them to provide the authorities with evidence should you be investigated by the police. You'll find similar statements when you agree to install most Operating Systems, it's not unique to Windows 10, or to Microsoft themselves. You'll have to agree to the same thing when you install iOs or any other relatively modern OS.

This isn't to catch you downloading music illegally or to see what kind of porn you're into. It's useful for when a drug dealer (or any other criminal, for that matter) is caught by the police and they need to find evidence to build a case against them. These kind of clauses are important, they allow the police to do their work properly and keep the rest of us safe.
