I did everything, downloaded the game, installed the latest update (official update 1.09) and also downloaded & installed both compatibility packs. It says its downloading update and transferring content but afterwards the screen goes black with the destiny loading emblem on the right bottom corner just constantly loading

also I can hear the sounds of the game go off and on as if I was having frame drops, do I just need to wait it out since its an online game?

Also, I am on DEX 4.65.2 REBUG w/ Cobra and WebMAN mode enabled

same thing ! i used to be on dex and the game was loading normally, i switched to cex (habib 4.66) and it still worked properly
only today i switched back to dex and im getting this issue on destiny
i sign, checks for updates verifies content...etc until it finishes preparing there would be a black loading screen and the ps3 would freeze (loading logo freezes) and i cant quit game/turn ps3 off unless i unplug it from power
is it the exact same issue you're having ? if yes, please post the solution if u could fix it

Yep, I was on 4.46 REBUG CEX and the game worked perfectly, i had to install a fix or 2 but it worked. Now that I am on dex, I got a black screen at startup which was fixed by setting boot mode to release mode, it installs the game and downloads the updates, the blue destiny wallpaper looking things just sits there for a few seconds, then screen goes black with the emblem loading; and it sits there for awhile, im still trying to find a fix but for the moment nothing, not even reinstalling CFW and formatting hard drive fixes this so it has to be something with the debug settings or the game itself because many ppl can play this on DEX and for some magical reason, we cannot.

imma try changing cfw maybe ps3ita, if that doesn't work i'll switch to rubug 4.65.2 REX

No Dex cfw got me on destiny so i converted to cex using rebug4.65.2 D-rex then installed the REX cfw and it's working properly
psnpatch works but webman seems to be having trouble so im using iris manager to load up the game
not sure if that increases the ban risk but i hope it doesn't as it'd be a real screw-up to lose my account due to all the grinding i've put into it

i managed to get it working on DEX however a few seconds after the character selection screen loads it just freezes, the way it freezes makes me suspect that it was a corrupt game install since the game IS 100% solely online. I'll probably just switch to REX if reinstalling doesn't work. does it work for you 100% no freeze? Also you should be fine using any manager as long as you disable CFW syscalls

edit: Just switched to 4.65.2 REX rebug and tried it again, it still kept freezing, so im glad its not an issue with the CFW because DEX is the shit right now; I believe we have to do a clean install/download of the game because when I copied the game to my hard drive (again but this time from pc to Hard drive, not via ftp) it kinda worked, got to the character screen smoothly and went on to play a mission but it started messing up afterwards as the ship was going somewhere

the game works just normally for me after switching to REX, i'm kinda surprised i am having this problem on dex, since before i switched to cex, i used to use a dex cfw which also uses 4.50 keys but never had any problems
anyways, as long as the game is working for me, im good

I think it was a problem with the game install or hard drive because last night I formatted my hard drive again and reinstalled destiny and it worked 100%, finally got to play crucible.
