If your playing virtual pro just play in the position which the game tells you with the arrows on the floor.
When your playing ultimate team you need to vary your play, if you keep doing the same thing the opponent will eventually know what you are doing and use it against you, use good skills, chip balls and maybe even square. Always look for space where your players are running towards or are free from being marked

If you are talking about UT, get a good chemistry...
You can have messi, ronaldo, xavi and all those high players, but if your chemistry is 10, ill **** that team up with my bronze team.

The bright green boots are meaning they are in their possition; cf, st,lb etc...
When they are dark green it means they can play there but it isnt their usual position.
My ST playing as a CF does miss good passing sometimes, but he equals that with his pace...
The green boxed formation thingy next to it means the same as position but now with formation.
Im playing 4-4-1-1 and my left back is used to 5-2-1-2.
Now that doesnt mean they suck... Im still trying to find the player who can get past my squad... every match 3+ goals(quitters... gotta love 'm) even 10+ sometimes.
Get some good pace players and try to get m all in 1 formation... 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2 or whatever you like best...
Dont put a right back on the left... Buy m, assign m. Costs around 10K if you go for good pace and passing...

I need some coins to get higher up...Most got Fábio Coentrão and Altintop and crap on the bench subbing them later on...
I cant help it that many people dont know that a RIGHT winger goes on the right, not left back.
But yeah, if you get matched up with a 20 chemistry players you quit right? Sure...
