Learn coding? C++ or Visual Basic

which ever one is better for making this type of program.

You want to practice with Visual Basic first. Try looking at Unknowns program and see what he does. My experience is small as well and I'm afraid I can't be of much help with this project.

i belive unknown code in c++ not vb! any way i would learn to work with opening data and working with it then saveing that data back in the case of mw2 tool the data is not in plain text so i used offsets to locate the hex string then read each part of that string the checked with what that part of the string ment! then displayed it its not the hardest thing to do but if your not sure what your doing i would suggest learning the basics of a language!
