1. What happen when an organism has excess glucose?

2. What happens when stored glucose is needed for energy?

Simple Answers:

1. Glucose is normally converted to acetyl CoA, but it enters a pathway in cells called the Krebs Cycle where it is degraded to produce energy. However, when there is excessive glucose and the body has already made its fill of glycogen, glucose is broken down to acetyl coA in the liver where it goes to produce fatty acids and subsequently fat.

2. Fat is broken down back into Glucose.

Yeah I kinda need vBux I guess Smile
1) Excess glucose triggers the release of insulin by pancreas to decrease the level of glucose(or Grape Sugar) in the blood. The liver also helps to store this excess glucose in form glycogen. Later when the body will need sugar- it will eventually take the glycogen from the liver.

2) Since your body need's Sugar for Energy it will just use the stored glucose. Meaning that the glucose will lower down when the body starts using.

I hope this works and you can make it on you own words :3
