I have recently bought myself a new Slim PS3 as my original launch 60GB PS3 got the YLOD. It has been repaired by a friend of mine who has been repairing PS3's and Xbox 360's for quite some time, but has unfortunately gone wrong again. It turns on fine and then after about 5 minutes the menu freezes.

I will be selling it with no controller, no hard drive but with power cable and tv cables. This would be probably be good for someone who is good at repairing these or for spares (bluray drive for instance). The only thing I know about the repair is that the connector clip for the blu ray drive was snapped off and has been replaced with a piece of cardboard to keep the bluray ribbon in (but this is apparently a common problem with the launch PS3's). The warranty sticker is obviously removed apart from that it is in good nick. It is currently on 3.50 firmware
