How much are you willing to spend?

There's alot of HD recorders out there but very few quality ones.

I'd recommend a Hauppauge 1212 HD PVR that's top notch quality imo.

The price ranges from $150-200 [NEW].

Anything under $200 is usually just on auctions.

Buy anything that isnt either a Dazzle or Easy cap or one that only takes 3 wires into it...

Even if it says DAZZLE HD PRO

Its not hd.
