Post: My TV Went Pop!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hi there,

I wondered if this had happened to anyone else, so here goes the story:

Just literally got off the ps3 playing a game of mw2 (Sabotage, as always)

I turned off my TV, and took out the headphones, but for some reason, when i took the headphones out, the TV went .. POP!

Now, this scared the shit out of me. But I asked myself, why?

Has anyone else had this problem?

build up of static electricity somewhere inside the tv and when you pulled out the headphones it discharged making a pop sound, it's possible even when you fully unplug your tv it still has charged internal components, how old is your tv??
