My Thought’s on the Future of Gaming

Hey NGU here’s my thought’s on the future of gaming. This review or “prediction” will include concepts such as the future of 3D, Future Games and other weird and wonderful concepts that have popped up here and there. I will try and make this review as little bias as I can but I will express my opinions.

First off, I want to start with an increasingly popular demand and that is, 3D. If you don’t know what 3D is well then go to a 3D Cinema and watch Avatar

Anyways, as some of you may know 3D TV’s are already on sale in several shops, You must login or register to view this content. , a Well- known British shop was first to sell one.
That particular TV sold for £1800 ( $2758 ) so you can expect to pay a hefty price for a pretty sweet TV. 3D was also introduced by the PS3 with they firmware update. That update created compatibility with 3D TV’s and games, so obviously with that update you can expect 3D Gaming. For more on the PS3 compatibility with 3D check out this You must login or register to view this content.. I think we can all expect some 3D games to be released in the near future, whether it’s just too show off or really for the people who have 3D televisions. I am intrigued to see how gaming takes on 3D, although as I have mentioned there are downsides….. A hefty price tag on the TV’s, Slow to roll out games for it as developing 3D games hasn’t really kicked off yet, but also there are some pretty cool advantages one of them being the fact that the game you are playing will be in 3D and that may create a more exciting and adventurous experience for the every day gamer. 3D in my view is where this industry will eventually veer towards. It provides huge excitement within the videophiles and also once the first footage of everyday gamers playing Modern Warfare 3 in 3D, I am confident it will catch on quickly.

Ok, my next thought of a possibility of seeing this technology in the near future is Bendable gaming. Now at first this may sound weird like WTF are you talking about, but at first I was extremely sceptical and I kind of still am, I won’t explain what it is all about so please just have a skim through this You must login or register to view this content. it will help you understand what the hell I am waffling on about. Back to what I was talking about, I think this is a more unlikely prospect although it may take the same line as the motion controlled stuff such as the Wii. Bendable gaming I think will defiantly appeal to the younger people and may even be used for educational purposes. Obviously there are soo many things you could do with the Bendable Gaming concept, but to us “ Hardcore Gamers” on NGU :p this would just bore us and have no complexity to enthral us. So my take on this one is that it may arrive but will be considered a certain console, and not become a piece of gaming technology that every company wants to have access too. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Nintendo bring out some sort of hand held version to add to their child-friendly console’s.

Now there is another piece I would like to share with you, that is trying to stimulate Gaming sensations right towards you, I ain’t too sure exactly what it’s called but here's what I am talking about ( You must login or register to view this content. ) I think this would just become another piece of expensive accessory and become part of a 3D console. I doubt that a company would revolve a console or an Idea around that sort of stuff as I don’t see much of a future in it. Companies may decide to sell games with this as a really fun and exciting attachment, but for it to become the centre of a console or something would kind of be weird and possibilities of what to do with this technology would run out. In my opinion this is an unlikely prospect although I would love this with a 3D experience as this would be the ultimate piece of gaming equipment.

Hope you guys enjoyed my review <3

tl;dr

Whats that ugly blue thing?

Gaming sensations would be cool. Would hurt like hell in FPS games though, getting killed means you get a huge volt of electricity lol. I could see that vest as the next "dualshock" addon.
