I hate to step on your oh so interesting find, but to be totally honest, rickrolling is one of the stupidest pranks the Internet has ever seen. It was absolutely hilarious back in the day, when it first came about, but after smouch.net/lol and all that good stuff, it lost its authenticity and humor.

It's really not that hard to redirect to the video, by the way... why not just go to You must login or register to view this content. and paste the YouTube video in there? Oh look, a different URL!

Come on, it's just a bit of fun. Besides that link is different from just a youtube video or that smouch.net/lol, it make the window dance about and you can't close it untill you click through all the lyrics.

smouch.net/lol/ does the same thing, iirc. It's really annoying. Just saying, kids on NGU are extremely impressionable, and I'd hate to see an increase of rickrolling attempts. It's stupid, and I'm not the only one that thinks that.

Don't get me wrong, though, I totally appreciate the humor of it. It was great when it was just getting popular.
