As some of you will already know how to post reputation you can ignore this post. But for some newer members to NextGenUpdate might not know how to post reputation. And this is just a short thread just to show how to post reputation and why we Give reputation.
Why We Give Reputation?

Well the main reason we give reputation to others is if we find their post either interesting,helpful,funny,enjoyable(Videos) and if we mainly like or agree with them. So its like saying thanks, Which there is also a Thanks option after you post 10 posts i think. Which also counts as rep but other can see you've said thanks.

Why do Members Want Reputation?
Well our members want reputation for the obvious meaning of reputation, The higher rep you are the more known and found helpful on NGU you are recognized as. For example Outsider has alot of Rep and when you look at his profile it means alot of people have thanked him for various posts. So that's why many members try to get their rep up by helping,explaining,tutorials etc..

How To Give Reputation?
Well giving reputation is very simple i have a diagram here to show how.
Just click the Silver picture at the bottom of the player post.

and then a small box

will come up and you can approve or disapprove of their post. Theres also a comment box where you can supply your name if they wish to post back it makes it easier for them to track you and rep you back. So it can be a two way agreement.

Then you will have this confirmation message.

Um yea in my Basic Info thread i talk about reps and thanks.... so how is this necessary? and also, it's quiet obvious why people would want reputation points.
This thread explains the rep system not for new members, but rather for mentally slow people who don't understand what reputation is.
