These come from GivesMeHope Facebook page (You must login or register to view this content.)

TODAY, AT THE FOOD COURT in the mall, a beautiful girl about my age came up to me and hugged me with tears in her eyes . . . Once she calmed down, I realized that I had pulled her out of a bathtub a month earlier, her wrists covered in slashes. . . I am an EMT, and her gesture of appreciation GMH

I MET A 16-YEAR-OLD GENIUS who was in medical school, studying to be a pediatric neurosurgeon. He put every dollar he made at his job into a retirement fund. . . Why? He wanted to be able to retire at age 30, so that he could spend the rest of his life performing brain surgeries for free.

TODAY, I came across a facebook group whose sole aim was to hate a classmate of mine. . . I glanced down to see that the new boy at our school, who doesn't even know the recipient of the group and has no friends yet, had posted a long wall post about how wrong the group was. . . As I refreshed the page, the group number was going down and down. He GMH.

Today, my friend told her father she was gay. . He turned and left silently, and she cried, thinking he wouldn't accept her. . . About an hour later, he came back with a gay pride flag and a stuffed animal dolphin and said, ''Awesome faceid you know 40% of the dolphin population is gay?'' . . Her dad GMH.

Today, I saw a little kid putting pennies in random spots on the hallway floor of the school I work at . . . I asked him why he was doing that, and he said he was putting the pennies heads up so that other kids would find them and have good luck today. . . Kids like him GMH.

I was diagnosed as a diabetic when I was five years old. My brother who was turning three at the time saw me cry after getting an insulin shot. He walked over to my mom and asked, "Mom, can I have diabetes, too? I don't want her to be alone." . . . My brother, now and then, GMH.

About a year before my dog died, he started to go blind. When my cat realized this, she began helping him find his way by rubbing against his legs, running ahead of him, and meowing loudly so he could follow the sound of her voice. . . . The love pets have not just for people but for each other GMH.

Every year, the graduating 8th grade class votes for superlatives. When 'Jordan A' was announced for Most Inspirational, teachers were in tears to see our entire class who never get along, give a standing ovation. . . . He died in a fire in fourth grade and we still consider him part of our class.

While it probably is fake, these stories are very inspiring, it's nice to recognize the miracles that happen all around us every day.
