(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It has come to the attention of the staff, both through member suggestions and observations, that things are beginning to get a bit out of hand in regards to both the debates being posted up, and the discussions taking place within the threads. This thread will set some ground rules as to what can be posted in here, and the way discussion should be held, and will be enforced.

First, do not make debates such as this:

"The PS3 is Cool: Yes or no?" This debate does not, and cannot go into any real depth, considering how broad the topic is. Do not make a thread in the debate section unless you feel that there is quite a bit of quality debate that can be held. If you don't have a firm standpoint on an issue, you shouldn't create a thread concerning it.

The best kind of debates are the ones about big and recent arguments. For instance, when the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 were both uprising, the "PS3 vs. 360" debates would have, and were something that were heavily debated. When considering making a debate thread, make sure that the topic is relevant, and something quite a few people will be able to post about.

Lastly, search before you post! A lot of things already have debate threads concerning them. Before you make a debate thread, make sure the debate you're wanting to start has not already been held.

All pointless, irrelevant debate threads will be deleted without prior warning.

Just gonna re-iterate that stupid threads here will still be deleted. Most are fine, however we don't need any threads here asking us for our most desired body part on a woman or whether we agree with you about a little argument you had in the shoutbox. Just a reminder.

UPDATE: After much private discussion this section will now not only be home to debates but also to the depthless polls such as the one in the example in the OP. I don't like it, but that's how it is, so I shan't be moving said depthless polls/threads out of this section any longer. In short, you can now consider the content of the OP void and out-of-date. I will un-stick this thread in a few weeks.
