Hi fellow NGU users as some of you know im puerto rican so in this thread im going to be talking about Puerto Rico.Im doing this thread because I wanted you guys to learn a little more from my country.Please no flaming.

Puerto Rico(Boriken):Also known as the commonwealth of Puerto Rico,it is a self-governing, unincorporated territory of the United States, located in the northeastern Caribbean Sea, east of the Dominican Republic and west of the Virgin Islands.Puerto Rico is the smallest of the other four island in the same archipelago.The term Boricua is used to identify someone from the puerto rican heritage.Puerto Rica has a tropical climate wich means its average temperature is 90-96 degrees.The timezone in Puerto Rico is AST.
Religion:Mostly all puerto ricans are catholics because when the spanish conquered us they made the natives adapt that religion.
Culture

uerto Ricans has a mix of three cultures:africans,spanish and natives.When it comes to culture Puerto Rico is one of the best with its own type of dances and typical food.Much of the Puerto Rican culture centers on the influence of music. Like the country as a whole, Puerto Rican music has been developed by mixing other cultures with local and traditional rhythms.

Languages:The official languages are Spanish and English with Spanish being the primary language. English is taught as a second language in public and private schools from elementary levels to high school and in universities.
