First off, I'd like to say that the theater was filled with stupid little punk ass kid who probably had no idea what Predator was, which set a bad mood for the flick.

Anyways, the movie starts off good, no long drawn out intro sequences or any stupid bullshit like that, just straight into the first scene with a title. You quickly get a sense of "Wow what the hell is going on?!" as the start of the film rolls along.

The characters are ok, and I was surprised by the defacto leader's (adrian brody) acting, as well as the rest of the cast. Moving along with the movie, you start to realize that there really can't be much plot to this, which is good because that's how the original was in a way. There's a few twists and attention getters, but nothing straying too far off the good ol' "we're stuck in a jungle and getting hunted by something". To make things worse, the group suddenly realizes that they're not on earth...

Without trying to give away too much, there's a good amount of scenes in this flick that make you go "Whhaatt? No way..." And it starts to build a feeling of complete unbelievableness (i know it's not a word). In fact, I would go so far as to say that some of the same mistakes they made with the AVP films were made in this as well. Laurence Fishbourne's character and acting was very good, albeit brief.

All in all, it's a good film for the first 3/4 of it. Then it seems like, the writers got tired of having the characters get killed off, and decided to add some strange plot changes to make it "interesting". Ended up being less that I thought it would...

OVERALL GRADING: D-
WORTH SEEING IT IN THEATERS?: I'd say no. Because the best thing about seeing a movie in theaters is being part of the experience of it. Being part of this was just as upsetting as seeing AVP or AVPR. The graphics and costumes/makeup were good, but I bet they'd look just as good on a 60'' plasma.

If you are a TRUE predator fan than you would know that this one BY FAR is the 2nd best movie out of the series, you can even throw in the AvP series if you want. Predators brought it back to the Predator movie and had the same exact feel. Each character could have easily been the star of the movie. There were some things I felt could have been added in or taken out but over all it was a great movie. The whole spin with the doctor was crazy but at the same time not realistic. But none the less that movie was BAD ASS!!!!!

Treu fans of the Predator series will appreciate this movie. I would give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

What?! I agree with you that Predators was a great movie, but how are you gonna say that the first AVP was bad? :tits:

I didn't like the whole concept of the underground pyramid with the queen alien frozen. Then they trigger one trap and the queen starts to thaw out and shit out alien eggs. I just didn't like that whole aspect of the movie. And the predators got killed off pretty quick so that was a let down. It also did not do a good job of having that element of surprise that ALL alien movies have, even AvP 2 did a good job at that eventhough ALL of the actors/actresses in the movie were HORRIBLE! That and the lighting were the ONLY 2 down falls to the AvP: Requiem movie. It was so stupid how they would have the Predalien and Predator or the Predator and Alien fighting in total darkness. You have 2 dark figures fighting in a dark area how is that doing the movie any justice. That movie could have EASILY been the BEST out of ALL of them if they had a good cast and had a few more lights.

My ratings were compared to the 1st Predator movie. AvP was a good movie but I just felt it was the worst out of all the ones I mentioned so I had to have my rating reflect that.

Dog I am a HARDCORE predator fan I got a life size Predator figure in my family room next to my entertainment center (the same one that some NBA player had on MTV cribs I forget who it was). I am trying to get my hands on a Predalien figure, and that bad ass Predator they introduced in the new movie but I have not come across them yet (I am going to put them in my bar in my basement).

Predators wasn't too bad. It was decent. The only bad thing I can say is Adrian Brody had a lot of corny dialog. But as far as the movie goes, I enjoyed it.

The guy I work for gave me Predator and Predator 2 to watch on DVD, I haven't gotten around to it yet, would you guys say they're worth watching?

you should watch them they are a good series in my mind and the new installment was good aswell so check out the new one after you watch those
