Fifteen years ago, on July 9, 1995, the Grateful Dead performed their last show at Solider Field in Chicago. Frontman Jerry Garcia died exactly one month later of a heart attack, and the remaining members decided to disband soon after.

To commemorate that historic live performance, I will show you one of the show's best moments.

This performance of "So Many Roads" (in two parts below) is considered one of the band's best renditions of the already moving song. Not only is the band in top form, but the lyrics--about loneliness, lifelong experience and losing one's way--are a particularly powerful goodbye from a legendary artist!
