I have become restless with newskool games recently. When i go online i feel blasted with teenage angst & i'm still trying to recover from whiplash. I miss the saying "i play winner!" there was not much crying going on about loosing, it was that you had to give up your controller to the next person waiting in line.
My dad would set up 5 computer in the house and host a lan party for us kids. Ah those were the days yelling down the stairs at my father for SOMEHOW screen cheating...Oh screen cheating why have you come and gone so fast! Back when maybe all you had was a 64, noobtubing wasn't an option-- it was who was the fastest at picking Oddjob before anyone else did.
I do admit, CD discs are more conventional on my lungs.. But i miss the sweet victory when you could get your gaming system to work with just a swift blow into the cartridge...maybe a jiggle of the wires or two & make sure your OP plugs are in the right spaces.
Oldskool gamers, we should all remember these days--because we all know pwning noobs online isn't better than being undefeated by your bestfriend sitting right next to you-- he can talk all the shit he wants- but we know who is the best
I remember blowing on my n64 games to work.
i remember writing down codes i found and fatalities i learn
i remember tripping on the controller cord.
i remember the days i got a new console and the old one was pushed away
Love it. The best games were always on the PS1 and i can still remember playing doom when I was about 6 or 7. Ahhhhh, love these old games. And pokemon and yu-gi-oh on the gameboy colour <3.
ah i miss tripping over the controller cords... We had a Great Dane growing up.. if i had a dollar for everytime he ripped the plugs right out of the wall & ruined a flawless game! That clumsy dog!
