I don't know what the sort of, subject or topic of discussion is here, so I'll go on a tangent
I know people that have been hit by cars, for most of them, they came out worse. The saying 'If it doesn't kill me, it will make me stronger' doesn't apply.
One person I know, is now wheelchair bound for the rest of their life because of a driver. He can't walk, run...he can't enjoy his life as much as he could. My friend is only at the age of 17. Ran over by a driver in their 40's.
Nothing is the same for him. If he comes to the cinema, we sit at the front where there is disabled access, he feels the odd one out. When we go to football matches, we have to go to the front in the disabled access, where he feels the odd one out. It's pretty much the same for everything he does. Concerts aren't the same, parties aren't the same...nothing is the same.
This video shows the shocking thing that happens at the crash, and at the hospital, but not after it. I'm sure my friend would happily have had a worse crash, or a worse time in hospital, if it meant the life he had afterwards didn't change dramatically.
I do feel sympathy for drivers at times as well. A lot of the time, they only take their eyes off the road for a fraction of the second. Whether it's mothers, just turning around to tell off their children, fighting in the back, or whether it's a businessman, who has just took the time too make a call to a business partner through his hands-free set, but needs to make the contact selection on the screen of his phone.
There is no good outcome from a collision, except if the driver involved gets their license back, there is a good chance they will drive safer.
