Ultimate Reputation Thread
Hey Everyone. I see you took interest when you saw my post on the Ultimate Reputation thread. Please continue on to the following chapters to learn more about Reputation. Another way of saying Reputation is Rep. Lol its just a abbreviation. Yeah, well as i was saying continue to the chapters to learn more!!!

"I've seen a lot of new and old members in the ShoutBox recently that are unsure what rep is and how you get your rep etc so I'll explain about rep as best as I can, if I'm wrong about anything or missed anything out then feel free to add to the thread.
Rep Power
For rep power, if you +rep someone, they receive your rep power, if you -rep someone, they receive half.
Example: My rep power is 130, if I +rep you, you will receive +130 if I -rep you, you will receive -65 rep. Thanks to Mr.Dopey & Oceano for this info
Thank Button
When you press the thanks button you give the person thanked + 5 rep regardless of your rep power as long as you have rep power which i belive is having rep of higher than +10
Nominate Button
Again like the thanks button you earn + 5 rep when someone presses it (thanks to KDwag08 and Mr.Dopey for confirming) if the thread wins TOTW after being nominated the most in a week you earn +100 rep for 1st place + 50 for 2nd no 3rd place as I thought (thanks to Mr.Dopey again).
Tips on how to earn rep
The best way to earn rep is to post good glitches and hacks for popular games like the Call Of Duty Series, please make sure you search before posting though as not using the search button is likely to get you -rep, another good way is by doing raffles, example making users prem (if you do this i suggest a nomination rarther than raffle), raffling off vbux or games.
Rules on rep
You EARN your rep on NGU, you are not allowed to rep for cash/vbux, you can not rep for rep, you can not rep because they are a friend family member the Pope etc etc.
Rules apply on giving out -rep also you can not give out - rep without a valid reason (need more input off mods for this please)
Limit on rep
You are limited to how much rep you can give out in a 24 hour period, i believe its 5-6 times you can press the thanks button and 5-6 times you can use the rep button although i need an admin or mod to confirm the amount of times correctly, also if you press thanks you can not press the rep button, so if you think they deserve it rep then thanks then nominate.

So a brief summary on how it works:
Well basically, there are 3 different stars which would be Bronze, Silver, and Gold. To get your first star, you will need to earn 1025 rep. If you want your next star, you'll need another 1025 rep and you will get double bronze stars. To earn a new color star you need two of the same star depending on what star you already have. So if you have 2 bronze stars, that would be 2025 rep and your next star would be a silver and you would need 3075 rep for that. Once you reach 3075 rep, you need another 1025 rep and you will get a bronze, then it goes over and you'll get your double bronze with another 1025 rep. So then it basically continues. If you understand it so far. Just look at the chart and you will get it soon enough.
Well this is basically the reputation chart and how the rep works out.
1 star = 1025 rep (Single Bronze star)
2 stars = 2050 rep (Double Bronze star(s))
3 stars = 3075 rep (Single silver star - Double bronze star(s) (Continued over to the next star = Silver star)
4 stars = 4100 rep (Single bronze star + Single silver star)
5 stars = 5125 rep (Double bronze + Single silver)
6 stars = 6150 rep (Double Silver)
7 stars = 7175 rep (Single Bronze + Double silver star(s))
8 stars = 8200 rep (Double Bronze star(s) + Double Silver star(s))
9 Stars = 9225 rep (Gold star)
After that, the cycle continues, but obviously different rep amounts, as you'd have way more rep.

how do you know your REP power though? I think mines only 3 or something like that
