Two masked teenagers that targeted 'PC Gamerz' in Kaneohe, Hawaii were taught a lesson on why you don't mess with gamers.
The incident happened just before midnight. Devin Wolery, 'PC Gamerz' owner, is watching over his nine customers in his shop and the two thugs walked into the shop.
They approached Wolery and started shouting at him, as Devin describes it, 'as if they had a problem with me'.
As Wolery went to push a panic button, things escalated. He was punched in the face by one of the teens, so much so that it knocked the glasses off of his face.
When the masked teen threw another punch at Wolery's face, the customers started to become aware of what was happening.
At this point, the two thugs started shouting at the customers, demanding them to hand over their cash and gingerly the gamers surrendered the spare cash they had, mainly change.
While one teen is collecting the cash, the other suspect that earlier punched Wolery in the face, punches his two computer monitors at his desk.
The teen that is collecting the cash has gotten all he could, and now he crosses the tolerence line for one gamer. The masked thug approaches Dylan Hayes and demands that he hands over his Nintendo DS.
Hayes wasn't happy, and came out swinging at him. Throwing multiple punches at the teen, he was sure he was keeping his DS.
The other teen tried to help his partner in crime, only to be taken down by Wolery and pinned to the ground.
Hayes by now had removed the mask of the thug, who then escaped from him and ran to his awaiting accomplices in the parking lot.
These accomplices then came to help out their partner that they left behind, dragging him out of the grasp of the gamers who were pinning him down. The fugatives escaped from the scene, but not from the police.
Within minutes, the group was found and three arrests were made.
The two teens that came into the store were actually previous customers, and had already got a membership with 'PC Gamerz'. This meant that Wolery had all of their personal information.
So, the lesson of today is:
You can take my money, you can punch a guy in the face, but you don't try to take a guys DS. If you do that, you've crossed the line.
