Ok guys I did say I would create this thread and here it is.

The above video is just edge of what you can do with speech recognition.

I've been playing around with this for the last couple of days and after searching everything I need I can now lay it my bed and control my PC without even getting up.

Here's some things you can do:
Shut down your PC.
Load up any file/picture/video/music
Load up your web browser, To your home page or any link you wish.
Load any programme you would like.
Control the computer without a mouse or keyboard.

It's a little confusing to get use to, But after you do it's a load of fun.

Right lets get started. (I'll be making this tutorial user friendly Smile)

First of you'll need:
Window's 7
A mic (I'm using my Nokia bluetooth headset with a bluetooth device connected to my PC)
Time.

First you need to set up your mic to your computer, If its bluetooth then you'll need a bluetooth device on your PC.
If its USB just plug it in.

Now Press the start button in the lower left corner.
Search "speech recognition"

You must login or register to view this content.

You'll see that (image above) double click it.

Now you need to set up your mic (image below)
You must login or register to view this content.

Once your mic is connect you'll need to take the training so you computer will learn a little how you speek.
This will make it loads easier for you trust me !!

You must login or register to view this content.

Do that once or twice maybe more it depends how you get on.
If it don't understand you have you have to keep repeating yourself just keep going though it, Trust me I said you needed time.

After that You'll need to start speech recognition.
You must login or register to view this content.

Once it had started you'll see this appear at the top of your screen.
You must login or register to view this content.

Thats it your up and running...
Lets test it out.

Say... "start" and it should press the start button for you.
Say... "show mouse grid" and it should show a mouse grid like this...
You must login or register to view this content.

The mouse grid looks confusing doesn't it.
Well its not.
Say if you wanted to click the start button from the mouse grid (view image) just say "seven" or "7" they're both same.
Then the mouse grid will go smaller but only in the seven part.
So you'll probably say "seven" again.
Once your somewhere where you want to click just say "click"
Sound confusing but once you test it you'll see.

Now view the next page.

[multipage=Commands]
Here are some of the commands that are default and may help you out a little.
Such as:
Mouse Grid
Show Numbers
Scroll up
Scroll down
Close that
Delete that
Edit that
Minimize that
Maximize that

If you take the speech tutorial you'll learn more.

You must login or register to view this content.

[multipage=Macros]
Now here is the fun !!!!
I've found with Macros you can do nearly anything !

First off you'll need to download it.

You must login or register to view this content.

You'll see this (image below)
You must login or register to view this content.

Just click continue then run the programme, It'll give you a code you need to copy to confirm your window's is genuine.
After that it should change to download and you'll need to enter the code you got from the genuine check.

Download macro's and install.

Once you've downloaded and installed look in your tray and click the little up arrow.
You'll see the little blue icon, Right click

You must login or register to view this content.

Go to Security > Create Signing Certificate.
Go through those steps.

Now... The real fun Happy

Do the same as above but click "New Speech Macro..."
You must login or register to view this content.
You must login or register to view this content.

Now were going to create it to open a programme.
So click "Run A Programme"

This bit may get confusing, So read care fully.

You'll need to refer back to the picture on this (image below)

1.
Is what you would like to say.. So if you want to open the internet and you want the saying command to be "internet" type internet.

2.
Is where the programme is located. If you don't know where the .exe is the go to your desktop, Right click on a shortcut for the programme > Properties > and copy the "target" in shorcut.

3.
I've only found this out for internet, But if you play around you'll be able to find it for something else.
This loads up the web page. So if you want google just type in.... You must login or register to view this content.

Remember these are just example's, You can use anything you wish even a shortcut to your music, pictures and video's.

You must login or register to view this content.

Now... If your wanting your PC to shut down when you want you can.
This way is a little confusing because I don't know the exact locations for the shut down or sleep .exe... I don't even know if they is one !

BUT YOU CAN STILL DO IT Winky Winky

Here's how.

Go to your desktop, Right click > New > Shortcut.
A box will appear asking you what you would like...
Were going to create one that will lock your computer, It takes you back to your login screen.

Ok, So when the box is open paste this code...
    Rundll32.exe User32.dll,LockWorkStation

Now click next.
Call it what ever you like, I called it "lock"
Now click finish.

It should now be on your desktop.
Right click > properties.

You'll need to create a shortcut key, Just like I have.. I'm using CTRL+ALT+U

You must login or register to view this content.
You can use what ever you wish, If you want to try this though use U.

Now, Go to your macros setting again, up arrow > right click macros > new speech macro.
This time were going to click "Send Keystrokes"

I'm going to use speech command "lock computer"
And because I set the shortcut key to CTRL+ALT+U I'll be using this code....
    {{CTRL}}{{ALT}}u

You must login or register to view this content.

So.. now when I say "lock computer" it'll lock my computer.

Here's a link to other commands such as shutdown or sleep.
You must login or register to view this content.

Also if you don't want loads and loads of shortcuts on your desktop you can change the icon to an invisible one, Just google it Smile

That's it for now, I'll be adding more shortly.
If you need any help or your stuck just leave a reply and I'll get back when I can.

If your wanting to know about other commands again just leave a reply and I'll create a new page in this thread with commands.
