Post: How to survive a bear attack

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Step 1: Reverse direction
If you’ve already had your head ripped off during a bear encounter, we probably can’t help you.

However, if the bear has not yet ripped off your head because you saw him first, off in the distance, you should slowly and quietly begin walking in the opposite direction until he’s out of sight.

Then calmly stay put for about a half hour.

Step 2: Walk noisily
With the coast clear, resume your walk. But make noise so the bear knows you’re around. The truth is, that bear doesn’t want to run into you, either.

Step 3: Avoid eye contact
Uh, oh. Despite your best efforts, Smokey The Bear’s evil twin is suddenly standing in front of you, calmly considering his options. First off, do not make eye contact. The bear will take it as a direct challenge to his authority, and he will rip your head off.

Step 4: Slowly back away
Back away slowly while speaking in a soft voice.

Step 5: Don’t flee
Holy crap, the bear is charging. Do not run! He will chase you down and rip your head off.Instead, stand perfectly still. If he stops his charge, slowly back away again, speaking softly.

Step 6: Play dead
If the bear attacks, protect your head with your arms, curl up in a fetal position, and pretend you’re dead. Or try hitting him directly in the nose. Some experts think a quick punch works better than submissiveness.

Step 7: Have pepper spray next time
Next time, don’t go into the woods without bear repellent pepper spray. Just be sure to familiarize yourself with its proper use.

Hope this helps when you see a bear Smile

1- Lmao,
2- That would just attract other animals into attacking you
3- Nothing much...
4- If you see a Bear in a distant, stand still and don't move, let the bear go away and than you should back away quietly and slowly
5- If a bear is charging at you, you only have 2 options, bolt it or fight for your life
6- WTF? The bear would just eat you
7- Why won't you just bring a rifle, what hunters does..

the don't flee is correct most of the time is territorry and when you flee they regard you as prey, another way is too... my dads friend went hunting for deer and found a bear, he killed it with his dual Glocks... thats if your a redneck though

My way is to find an English or Spanish talking bear, MAKE SURE IT'S NOT A FRENCH TALKING BEAR, and challenge him to a 1vs1 on MW2.

If you find a Spanish talking bear, and don't know how to say "Wanna play 1 on 1 on MW2" I have translation below.

"¿Quieres jugar 1 contra 1 en MW2 ?"

Nice find man, good post. Made me laugh.

But I feel when the bear is charging at you, you have only 2 choices and they are run or stay and fight the bear. Winky Winky
