All that happens is some dumbass fails out of like 3-4 private schools his parents payed for, gets pissed off and hits the town, gets a hooker and gets his ass kicked, then goes home, cries, and goes back to a new school a changed man. I understand, it does really show teenage angst and troubles, and the book is very well written.
I'm not saying it isn't a great book by any means, I'm just saying anyone who finds this offensive should read the Bible or nearly any other religious work for that matter, and tell me the stuff portrayed in there isn't worse.
Apparently, the guy who killed John Lennon says this book inspired him, which just goes to show how ****ed up people are in the head and why we have places called mental asylums.

My question to anyone else who has read this book is; 1) Did you find this offensive? Did you like it? and 2)Do you think it should be banned or not?

If you're going to be ignorant (ex. b00ks r 4 looserz i'm 2 cool 2 read) then don't post. This thread is meant specifically for people who have also read the book, which should be quite a few people. Some time in high school you should read it, IDK when, I read it early because it was recommended to me.

I for one don't think this is offensive and just shows that schools want students to believe everything is rainbows and butterflys

America loves to be entertained. We have the technology to drive around all in Solar and Electric powered cars, but we don't

And I bet if I hadn't posted that bit in the first part about not posting if you haven't read the book, I bet we'd have like 5 people saying reading is gay and it makes there brain hurt or something else equally stupid.

Because some people find it offensive though it's more of a historical novel more than anything.
