Basically yesterday i got hit by a car whilst cycling, (i was going faster than the car as it was pulling out of a driveway).

The area which hurts is my chest and when i breathe deeply it hurts. If you have ever suffered a broken/fractured rib please tell me the pain scale, 1 being poked by someone and 10 being excruitating i.e kidney stones..

sounds more like cartilge damage.
either way hurts like a bitch.
I've read onlne about it some I'm an expert now.
Thinking of opening a practice next week.

You are in for a couple of months of pain. I broke mine in a hockey game and could skate for the first month and skated with pain of three additional. Listen to your doctor and do not over do yourself, cause all it leads to is more pain for a longer period.

theres no such thing as punctured ribs.you puncture a lung not ribs
