it crashed but thats just because i didnt have a firewall or any type of securityand downloaded from the wrong person... so if you happen to have one go ahead and download it

Use uTorrent that's about the best torrent client on the net and it doesn't come with a load of extra features that you don't want like vuze does. The only word of advice I will give you is be careful what you download and if you downloading something from pirate bay always read the comments to see what other user say about the health of the torrent and whether it contains anything undesirable. Personally common sense will keep you safe when torrenting and you shouldn't have any problems.

It all depends on what and source you download from. If it's a well credited sites with approval from other members, then you will be fine.
