I generally roll with 4 tabs, 1 is always Youtube playing a video.

I know Firefox is high demanding on the ol' RAM but COME ON!

Anyone who fixes this I'll send a good amount of vBux their way.

Well 400,000 kb is what it is using because in my task manage mine is using around 200k...and 400,000 kb translates to about 3-4 mb so really it is not taking any ram at all since you have 4,000mb available.

Also if you still want to eliminate some..plugins are a real memory hog for browsers so uninstall the ones your really don't need, also regularly cleaning your history, cache, cookies, etc. can reduce the amount of ram the browser requires.

400,000kb = 400mb.

It uses almost 0.5GB of my 4GB.

Chrome is fast, but it feels like I'm browsing on a blank piece of paper.

Oh sorry I was thinking kilobits...but read the rest of my previous post..I provided more information

Cleared my history, temp files and 2 month's worth of cookies...also disabled older versions of Java (had 4 installed). I'll see how this goes.

mine uses 100k with no youtube, 120k with a 720p youtube vid running.
