seeing as there are a lot of music lovers here i thought i could share my library and findings with the community in the form of blog style every week. In these posts i will be including things like Spotlight artists, new finds, throwback artists, and just my opinions on some of the things going on in the music world. There are a lot of dubstep fans here, and electronic fans here, you dont have to worry because i will satisfy your needs just as much as the indie lover and the pop/club scene lover. So lets start the new year with my first post, please go to the next page for week 1 of iTerminate's Weekly Music Update Thread.

Okay so lets kick off the new year right with week 1 of my music Update. Everyone is probably still re-cooperating from New Years festivities which brings me to this weeks theme, mash-ups. Everyone heads into a club or a party and what do they here, oh yeah our favorite song mixed with a bunch of others. Mash ups are a big thing now in the club scene, you hear alot of stuff from artists like

Super Mash Bros:

Girl Talk:

MilkMan:

Very well known artists right there, but lets get to the good stuff... Fresh out of Boulder Colorado, home to many DJ's, Olympians, and hardcore skiers, comes a new mash up artists named DJ Hathbanger. DJ hathbanger has his solo act going right now as well as DJing for the group Robotic Pirate Monkey. Enough with the ego boosting for this guy, time for some musics.

Time for week two guys. How about a change of pace... lets get the mellow stuff up here. Reggae? Yeah how about some reggae. So what makes reggae? Bob Marley? Matisyahu? Dirty Heads? They all have their own take, but what makes a reggae artist? I feel like reggae music is a conglomeration of short tempo'd sectional songs, with background music usually consisting of a range of things from steel drums to guitars... So lets see who we can display as some leading reggae artists.

The obvious Bob Marley

The somewhat known Dirty Heads

apparently some sublime...

So once again i've gotta display another group not many people seem to of heard of. This week it is Rootz Underground, they are a reggae group whom are emerging as of lately, they have a great mellowness but also attack the reggae scene with some good stuff. Enough with talking about them so how about some music.

requests are always welcome. Next weeks theme is undecided so far so you will see. There will be indie, punk etc. And there most likely will be a spotlight on kid cudi sooner or later.
