With 50 dollars you MIGHT be able to get a Dazzle platinum/dvc100, but it's standard definition.

If I were you I'd save up around 200 or 250 and get an HD PVR, it's what I recently purchased and I love how you can record in 720p HD while playing in 1080p HD
